Gabe Zhané Vogl is a visual and performing artist with a focus in art direction and production design for film and media. Originally from Seattle, he moved to Brooklyn NY after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts a year early with a BFA in Motion Design and he currently works for Walt Disney Television/ ABC News Digital as a full-time designer and animator.
Since graduating in 2016 Gabriel has worked as an art director and creative for multiple commercial media storytelling agencies such as VaynerMedia, Rapp, Wild Gravity, Organic, Workhouse Creative etc. Before relocating to NYC Gabe simultaneously worked in the commercial film industry as well as multimedia and social agencies. In 2014 he worked in the art department for the Golden Globe and Oscar Nominated major motion picture feature film “Captain Fantastic”. In 2015 he followed his production and performing passions and moved to Florida, working for Walt Disney World Entertainment. He also became a part of the Art Direction Mastered Accelerator in 2017-2018 where he was taught under brands such as I-D, SHOWstudio, Vouge etc.
As a trans man of color and integrated designer, his personal work often highlights the strength and beauty of the POC and LGBTQ communities' experiences and expression. His passion is using storytelling as a tool to bring awareness to diverse cultures and lifestyles.
Gabriel’s favorite hobbies aside from work are: traveling to unique places with strong ancient art history backgrounds, exploring nature, dancing/drag &watching UAP or Bob Ross videos with his cat Frodo.
